Lantern Fest 2025

The much awaited 4th edition of the Lantern Fest was organized in Saraswati World School on 8th November, 2025 with great enthusiasm and creativity. The event began with the felicitation ceremony of our Vice-Chairman Sir, Mr. Vinod Singh and our Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Shyamashree Bisaws, followed by the garlanding of our dearest Saraswati Devi Ji’s portrait and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our Respected Vice-Chairman Sir and Principal Ma’am; symbolizing the beginning of knowledge and enlightment.

Our Vice-Chairman Sir addressed the students with his inspiring and valuable words where he urged them to follow their own curiosity, leading to innovations rather than blindly following the curriculum. This was followed by an encouraging speech by our Principal Ma’am, who appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and gave us an idea of implementing science in day-to-day life.

The fest showcased around 45 beautifully crafted working models prepared by students from 4 departments being Science, Language, Mathematics and Social Science, under the supervision of the respective teachers. Each model reflected innovation, team-work and artistic expression, turning the school premises brewed with creation. Though the fest started around 10 am in the morning but after 12 o’ clock in the noon, presence of guardians was much appreciated.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony which started around 3 pm. From Science Department –

  • 1st Prize: Cathode Ray Discharge Tube – Class 9
  • 2nd Prize: Indian Army Defense System – Class 6
  • 3rd Prize: Renewable Sources of Energy (Wind, Hydro, Solar) – Class 11

A special recognition was awarded to a Class 7 student for creating an inventive , playful science model that showcased how learning can be both fun and meaningful.

From Language Department –

  • 1st Prize: Ramayana Presentation – Class 11
  • 2nd Prize: Architectural Structure of Ram Mandir – Class 11
  • 3rd Prize: Prepositions Model – Class 4

From Mathematics Department –

  • Banking Model – Class 8

From Social Science Department –

  • Rainwater Harvesting Model – Class 5

Apart from these, every participant was awarded with participation certificates and medals.

The Lantern Fest was a grand success highlighting the talent and collaborative spirit of our students. The event truly illuminated our school with joy, learning and inspiration.
